KERNAULT IS UNDERGOING A FACELIFT… copy
In the autumn of 2020, the Finistère Regional Council began restoration work on the Manoir de Kernault. This is taking place in two phases, the first concerns the half-timbered attic, a listed building dating from the 17th century, and the second phase of restoration will centre on the stately home, also listed as a historic monument.
This restoration campaign will allow this remarkable site to be preserved and to create a new reception area with gift shop and café in the timber-framed attic, along with a new temporary exhibition space and offices. The entire building will be accessible to all visitors. The grounds remain open to walkers throughout the duration of renovations and a number of events have been programmed over the course of the season.
